What does it mean to be sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see?
Here are some examples of people who have done this.
Moses' parents hid him for three months after he was born, because they saw he was no ordinary child, and they were not afraid of the king's edict. When the child grew older, Moses' mother took him to Pharaoh's daughter and he became her son. She named him Moses, [Moses sounds like the Hebrew for draw out] saying, "I drew him out of the water." As an adult, Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the far side fo the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God. There the angel of the Lord appeared to him in the flames of fire from within a bush. Moses saw that though the bush was on fire it did not burn up. God called to him from within the bush, "Moses! Moses!" And Moses said, "Here I am."... He further tells him, "I have indeed seen the misery of my people in (bondage). I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers, and I am concerned about their suffering. So I have come down to rescue them from the hand of (those who are) oppressing them. So now, go. I am sending you (to rescue them from bondage.)"
Esther became a queen and did so as one who saw the invisible. She was obedient to the one who raised her, Mordecai, who also knew she was to become a queen. As a queen she was alerted to a plan against her people whereby she had to stand up for them for their deliverance. The King asked her request. Queen Esther answered, "If I have found favor with you, Your Majesty, and if it pleases you, grant me my life - this is my petition. And spare my people - this is my request. Who knows but that you have come to royal position for such a time as this?"
I believe praying hands will accomplish much. Then open arms to accept people of all colors, styles, and abilities is the next step to representing them right.
Thank You!
